This widget allows you to add an RSS Feed to your campaign, pulling posts from your blog feed or website. With an RSS Feed, your campaign updates automatically when you post to your blog or website. By following these steps, you’ll be a master of the feed in no time!
Make sure that you:
For this tutorial, you will need access to your company’s RSS feed and the RSS feed URL.
Step 1: Drag and drop the RSS Feed widget anywhere on your campaign canvas; this will create a size-adjustable widget-box.
Step 2: You can adjust the size of your widget-box by dragging the bottom-right corner, or delete it by clicking the ‘X’ in the upper-right corner. You can move it around by selecting the widget-box and dragging it into place.
Note: Once the widget is placed, you should see some options open up on the right side of the screen. If you don’t see these options, you can get to them by clicking the widget again.
Step 3: In the options, you can add the link to your RSS Feed in the URL field.
Step 4: Once you’ve entered the URL, you can change the color of the links and text within the feed. Click on the boxes underneath “Link Color” and “Text Color” to access the color picker.
Step 5: Select the number of posts you want to appear in your feed.
Note: The number of posts you bring in will always be the latest posts to your RSS Feed. So, since I have my number of posts set to 10, the 10 most recent posts from the Heyo feed will display in the widget.
Step 6: Click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom left-hand corner of the settings toolbar.
One Last Note: If you would like to add some personality to your widget, I recommend using the Rich Text widget. In this tutorial, for example, I created a rich text title and lined it up the RSS Feed widget-box.
