The Facebook widget allows you to add a Facebook follow button, which lets fans to subscribe to your public updates, rather than liking your fan page.
The Follow button allows fans to follow your page without liking it, getting a ‘trial run’ of your content, so to speak. These fans will be able to see any public post made to your fan page, but won’t but updated with every post made to the page.
Just follow these simple steps to add a Follow button to your campaign!
Make sure that you:
Step 1: Drag and drop the Facebook Share widget anywhere in your campaign canvas; this will add a “like” button to your campaign.
To use a Follow button, click ‘Follow Button’ in the drop down list in the widget menu. Click and drag the button where you want it on the campaign.
Note: If you don’t see the widget options, you can get to them by clicking the Follow button again.
Note: In the example above, I am placing the Follow button over a text-box.
Step 2: Once you have the Follow button placed, enter the URL for your Facebook fan page (or any other Facebook fan page) you want your fans to follow in the widget options.
You may also choose whether or not to display the follow count next to the Follow button.
Step 3: Click “Save Changes” in the lower left-hand corner of the settings toolbar.
