Heyo is excited to announce a brand new integration with small business CRM provider Ontraport. This new integration allows Heyo users to connect signup forms directly with their Ontraport contact lists. With this feature, you can run a campaign with Heyo and manage your leads in Ontraport; it’s a marketing match made in heaven — click here to try it out.
All signup forms on our lead capture, contest, and drag and drop templates can be synced with Ontraport. Once you select a template of your choice (we’ll showcase the Sweepstakes template) click the ‘Signup Form’ link in the right hand sidebar to edit the integration settings.
The integration settings will be visible in the right hand sidebar. Select ‘Ontraport’ from the list of integration partners to connect to your account. Doing so will send all data captured on the form to your Ontraport contact list. We also keep a backup of all that data which you can download at anytime from your Heyo dashboard.
Once you click ‘Connect to Ontraport’ in Step 2, you will be prompted with a popup (shown below) to get some API Key information from your Ontraport account. Documentation on what exactly you need to do can be found here, but we’ll cover a quick overview.
Login to Ontraport and click your email address in the top right corner and then ‘Administration’ from the drop down menu. From the administration menu locate and click the ‘Ontraport API Instructions and Key Manager’ located under ‘Integrations’.
Create a New API Key from the top menu, assign a user and give access to all permissions to ensure data gets passed properly. Once you’ve completed all the information shown below, click ‘Save’ in the top right hand corner and you’ll be redirected to the integrations dashboard.
After you click ‘save’, you’ll see your new API key on a new row with columns labeled ‘Name’, ‘App ID’, and ‘API Key’. This is the information you will want to copy and paste into the Heyo popup as shown below.
Click ‘Verify and Save’ to make the connection and now signups will automatically be added to your Ontraport contact list. All done. See how easy that was?
Once you’re done you can add additional fields to the form, which are all stored on the Heyo backend. Only Name/Email are passed to Ontraport. Customize the look and feel of the form, save your changes and the integration setup is complete.
