The iFrame Widget allows you to add your businesses website directly into your campaign. This will allow fans to visit your company’s website without ever leaving Facebook. You can showcase the entirety of your web page, or just enough to grab fans’ interest. By following these easy steps, you’ll have your website up in iFrame in no time!
This means that pages with HTTP URLs will not display in Facebook without the user’s permission, because Facebook has an SSL certificate (HTTPS URL).
Make sure that you:
Step 1: Drag and drop the iFrame widget onto your campaign canvas; this will create a size-adjustable widget-box on your campaign.
Step 2: You can adjust the size of your widget-box by dragging the bottom-right corner, or delete it by clicking the ‘X’ in the upper-right corner.
Note: Once the widget is placed, you should see some options open up on the right side of the screen. If you don’t see these options, you can get to them by clicking the widget again.
Step 3: Once you have your widget the size you want it, you can add the link to your website in the URL field.
Note: If you are using an unsecured URL (starting with http://), you may want to use one of the temporary solutions provided in our blog post on the iFrame Issue.
Step 4: Once you’ve entered the URL, you will want to make the site visible. Turn the “Zoom iFrame” option on and select the pixel size of your site.
Note: This step might take some trial and error. I found that 1500 width by 1000 height worked for the Heyo site.
Step 5: If your content goes “below the fold” and requires a scroll bar, you can turn on the “Display Scroll Bars” option.
Note: Ideally, you will want to have a large enough width to avoid horizontal scroll bars. Horizontal scrolling is not very user friendly and is not recommended in campaigns like this.
Step 6: If you would like to add a cover image to ensure fans know they are looking at your webpage in Facebook, turn on the “Cover Image” option and upload an image.
Step 7: Click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom left-hand corner of the settings toolbar.
