Think YouTube is just for watching silly cat videos? Think again! YouTube is a great tool for generating brand interest and awareness, which is exactly why you should be using our YouTube widget in your campaign.
Over one billion unique users watch YouTube videos every month! Send the right message to your audience with our YouTube widget and effectively build the trust and credibility of your brand. Just follow the steps below to add a playable YouTube video to your campaign!
Make sure that you:
Step 1: Drag and drop the YouTube widget anywhere in your campaign canvas; this will create a widget-box that you can move around and resize.
Note: After placing your widget, a few options will appear in the right-side toolbar. If you don’t see these options just click on your YouTube widget to bring them up. You also can size your widget by dragging its bottom-right corner, or delete it with the ‘X’ button.
Step 3: Provide a link to your video by pasting it in the “YouTube URL” field. Remember to use a secure (https) link so it doesn’t get blocked as “mixed content.”
Note: You can choose a cover image for your video if you’d like something other than the default image but it’s not required. Skip to Step 5 if you are happy with the default image.
Pro Tip: Above, my video’s default image is an engagement ring, which is nice, but maybe I want to give my fans more reason to click on the video. Upload an image with an attractive message to ensure your fans can’t resist checking your video out (see below.)
Step 4: Paste a link in the “Cover Image” field, or upload an image from your computer by clicking on the “Upload” button.
Step 5: Click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the toolbar.
One last note: If you ever need to make changes to your video, don’t worry! You can always come back to manage your widget simply by clicking on it!
This means that unsecure (http) content will not display on secure (https) pages, like Heyo and Facebook, without the user’s permission. Be sure to use https URLs to ensure your content always displays correctly!
