The HTML widget is the trump card of the widget world. By handing the reigns of code over to you, it gives you complete control over what goes into your campaign. Use the HTML widget to embed code for signup forms, videos, slide shows, or whatever – the possibilities are endless!
Maybe our awesome toolbar doesn’t quite have the type of widget you are looking for, or maybe it does but you’re looking to put your own touch on it. No matter what you are trying to do, the HTML widget will make it possible.
So what are you waiting for? Harness the power of the HTML widget by following the simple steps below.
Make sure that you:
Step 1: Drag and drop the HTML widget anywhere in your campaign canvas; this will create a size-adjustable widget-box.
Note: Once you’ve placed your HTML widget, the toolbar on the right will reveal a field where you’ll be able to paste your code. Adjust the size of your widget by dragging its bottom-right corner, or delete it with the ‘X’ button.
Step 2: Paste your code into the “HTML” field. In this case I am pasting embed code for a signup form created on another site.
Note: Your code will not display until you have saved it. Also, remember to use secure (https) code so that it does not get blocked as “mixed content.”
Note: If you find that you don’t have enough room to work with your code, you can make the field larger by dragging its lower-right corner as shown below.
Step 3: Click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the toolbar.
Note: If you ever decide to make changes, don’t worry! You can always come back to edit your HTML widget by simply clicking on it.
This means that unsecured (http) content will not display on secure (https) pages, like Heyo and Facebook, without the user’s permission. Be sure to use https URLs to ensure your content always displays correctly!
